Missing Roll Massif events? Ride all of them … virtually!

It might not be a good time for us to get together in large organized events right now, but Roll Massif isn’t going to leave you hanging! Check out the Roll Massif Challenge to get your RM fix! This unique event will challenge bicyclists from all regions of the country and of all abilities. Push yourself to new heights this summer by riding a total of 353 or 484 miles.

Why 353 or 484 miles? 353 is the total mileage of all of Roll Massif events’ short routes combined. 484 miles is the total distance for all of their events’ long courses combined. Here’s the mileage breakdown:

Copper Triangle: 79 miles (included in both long- and short-course mileage)
Crooked Gravel: 65 or 93 miles
Wild Horse Gravel: 45 or 90 miles
Tour de Vineyards: 23 or 58 miles
Tour of the Moon: 41 or 64 miles
Elephant Rock: 100 miles (included in both long- and short-course mileage)

Short Course Total = 353 miles
Long Course Total = 484 miles

Ride the distance of one event, all of them or any distance in between. Ride gravel or pound pavement, it’s all up to you! Submit all your miles to the Challenge website by November 1 at midnight MST.

When you register, you can choose to receive either a Roll Massif Challenge t-shirt or a jersey. You’ll also receive a Roll Massif sticker, training tips from Roll Massif partners, sponsor sample packs, and the chance to win some sweet prizes! All registered riders will be entered into a drawing to receive prizes throughout the summer. If you’re feeling extra bold and complete all of the rides, you will be entered into the grand prize drawings for a bicycle, racks, trainers and more.

Since this is a virtual challenge, you can ride wherever and whenever you want! You are welcome to do it in segments, but you must submit the mileages within the 90-day window. If you can’t ride the whole Copper Triangle (79 miles) or Elephant Rock (100 miles) in one go, do it in stages.

After completing your individual segments, you’ll post your results to the Challenge website. You can track your mileage with a number of different apps, a watch or a fitness device. While you are riding and after completing your challenge, be sure to post photos and GPS images to the Roll Massif Facebook page.

Roll Massif will re-share all the fun ways participants are accomplishing the challenge through social media, and they’ll share their own attempts at this challenge too!
