Welcome to the Event Support Program

Bicycle Colorado has supported bike riders, bicycle policy, bike infrastructure and cycling events for more than 32 years. Colorado offers the most comprehensive and diverse selection of high-quality competitive and non-competitive cycling events for people of all ages and abilities. We work to build meaningful connections between quality events and cycling clubs, bicycle education efforts, bike-friendly advocacy work and relationships with host communities, permitting agencies, CDOT and law enforcement.

With our expanded Event Support Program, Bicycle Colorado grows its reach and connections with the Colorado bicycling community to grow the movement of people who want to improve the safety, convenience and fun of bicycling in Colorado for everyone. We serve as the Local Association (LA) for USA Cycling in Colorado.

Our Event Support Program offers:

Comprehensive Cycling Event Calendar

Interested in learning about all the great cycling events in Colorado? Bicycle Colorado hosts a Comprehensive Cycling Event Calendar that is full of road, mountain, cross, gravel, track, gran fondo and non-competitive rides from all across the state. Learn more about the Cycling Event Calendar here!

Colorado State Championships

Bicycle Colorado designates and supports events to serve as Colorado State Championships for 29 racing groups for criterium, road racing, time trial, hill climb, track, XC mountain bike and cyclocross. We provide state championship jerseys (thanks Primal!) to our winners in all categories and most disciplines.  See our State Championships page for more info.

Colorado Cross Cup

The Colorado Cross Cup is a collection of great Front Range events and a season-long points competition for individuals and teams that consists of cyclocross races held from September to December. Featuring stand-out races from Fort Collins to Parker, these events provide the joy, challenge and fun of cyclocross to riders of all ages and abilities. Individual athletes are included in the Cup simply by holding a USAC license in Colorado. Teams need to join Bicycle Colorado as a member club in order to be included in this competition. Please see the Clubs and Teams Page for more info and to join BC as a club.  We host an annual Community Legacy and Cup Awards Party to celebrate the people who make it all happen and the teams and athletes shine so brightly!

The Rocky Mountain Road Cup is a collection of great events and a season-long points competition for individuals and teams that consists of road racing, time trial, criterium and hill climbs held throughout Colorado in the spring and summer. Rocky Mountain Collegiate Cycling Conference

We are proud to support the Rocky Mountain Collegiate Cycling Conference (RMCCC). We incorporate collegiate programs and athletes into our greater cycling community for the benefit of all.

We’re thrilled to see so many people out enjoying (and often rediscovering the joy of) riding a bike right now, and we’re asking ALL bicyclists to do their part to prevent the spread of #covid19 by wearing a mask or other face covering when out for a ride. Doing so keeps you, your loved ones, those around you, and all Coloradans safer while helping reduce stress on our medical system. If you still need a mask, click the link in our bio to pre-order one now and support our advocacy work! Thanks so much to everyone who has already purchased, and to @primalwear for supporting our efforts over the years. Ride on.
  • #BicycleColorado volunteers and staff members spent time today helping @denverurbangardens and @denverfoodrescue deliver “Grow a Garden” food boxes to home-bound families in Denver—via bike! Supporting our community on two wheels makes for a great way to spend a sunny day. Many thanks to our friends @ddchen47, David M., and @juggernautcargo for your help! Head to denverfoodrescue.org or dug.org to learn more about these great local organizations. #rideyourbike
  • Tonight the #BicycleColorado team celebrated Stacey, our outgoing Development Director, with a virtual happy hour. Stacey has been an absolute rockstar for BC. We’re sad to see her leave, but thrilled for her as she heads out on a new adventure (hopefully in the #BikeAdvocacy space!) in North Carolina. Please join us in wishing her well!
