Colorado mountain bike summit largest yet
Over 80 land managers and bicycle advocates met in Salida last weekend for the 2010 Colorado Mountain Bike Summit hosted by IMBA, Bicycle Colorado and the Bureau of Land Management. The participants discussed a variety of ways to improve mountain biking in the state and left with many positive ideas to begin working on.
Bicycle Colorado staff were busy during the summit helping at workshops and leading discussions. We were also excited to receive a Certificate of Appreciation from the Bureau of Land Management, Grand Junction Field Office. The award celebrates our construction and maintenance of sustainable trails in the Bangs Canyon area of Western Colorado.
Also during the Summit, Bicycle Colorado partner, COPMOBA, received the State Volunteer Group of the Year award.
