BLM Partnership Extended Five Years
Bicycle Colorado, the International Mountain Bicycling Association and the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) created a groundbreaking Memorandum of Understanding in 2005 that defined ways mountain bicyclists and the BLM could work together to improve sustainable mountain bike opportunities in Colorado. This MoU was recently extended another five years.
Each BLM field office in the state is encouraged to work with mountain bicyclists to maintain and improve trails. Trail projects such as Bangs Canyon and the Gunnison Gorge National Conservation Area have resulted from this partnership.
