719 Ride

July 20, 2024

The 719 Ride Elevation Celebration offers distances and challenges suited to everyone. Three loop courses can be easily combined to suit anyone’s fitness level and fondness for climbing. Ride as many or as few laps as desired for the same registration.

For the third year in a row, the 719 Ride is the official cycling event of the Rocky Mountain State Games. It is also an official partner event in the 2024 SUAREZ Gran Fondo National Series and 2024 Gran Fondo World Tour.

Route Information

Five laps of The Course That Cannot Be Defeated is the signature ride (71.9 miles and 9,190′ of elevation gain), but you can ride as many or as few laps as your mind can handle and your legs will allow, AND you can combine laps on this route with laps on any other route based on how you feel on event day.

The kinder, gentler and slightly easier (SE) form of suffering built on the bones of The Course That Cannot Be Defeated is the 719 Ride SE. The SE shaves off 2.2 miles and more than 350′ of elevation gain from each lap. Five laps of this feisty fireplug serves up a metric century and more than 7,300′ of rictus inducing satisfaction and fun.

The GoldiLITE 719 is the family-friendly frolic of friskiness. Four and a half miles long with less than 400′ of elevation gain, this mostly flat course has three turns to its name, all of which are right turns, essentially making it a ride around the block

Prizes

At the 719 Ride, the spoils don’t just go to the fast and powerful. Everyone has a chance to win at our distinctive event.

There are KoM/QoM prizes for the fastest man and woman as well as a host of prizes for the not fastest. These “not the fastest prizes” include:

-$71.90 to every 71st person the KoM/QoM leaderboard (e.g., 71st, 142nd, 213th, etc.)

-Carmichael Training Systems coaching package for the person with the penultimate ascent time on lap two.

-Ride with GPS premium subscription for the person who is 17 places ahead of the slowest ascent on the second lap.

– Choice of SRM X-Power Pedal Powermeters (road, mtb or flat) for the 17th fastest ascent on the third lap as well as for the person who is 17 places ahead of the slowest ascent on the third lap.

-Wahoo ELEMNT ROAM bike computer for the ascent time closest to the fastest median ascent time.

-Special edition “winner’s” jersey made by SUAREZ will be given to the 71st fastest ascent of Rossmere for each individual lap (e.g., lap   one, lap two, lap three, lap four and lap five.)

And register at the Titanium level ($99) to unlock the opportunity to win additional prizes that have nothing to do with your performance on the bike. Prizes include a coaching package from Carmichael Training Systems, a four-night stay for two at the Garda Bike Hotel in Italy (meals and and guided bike ride support included), an Industry Nine hubset, a Lazer helmet, a Ride with GPS premium subscription and an SRM X-Power pedal powermeter.

We’re thrilled to see so many people out enjoying (and often rediscovering the joy of) riding a bike right now, and we’re asking ALL bicyclists to do their part to prevent the spread of #covid19 by wearing a mask or other face covering when out for a ride. Doing so keeps you, your loved ones, those around you, and all Coloradans safer while helping reduce stress on our medical system. If you still need a mask, click the link in our bio to pre-order one now and support our advocacy work! Thanks so much to everyone who has already purchased, and to @primalwear for supporting our efforts over the years. Ride on.
  • #BicycleColorado volunteers and staff members spent time today helping @denverurbangardens and @denverfoodrescue deliver “Grow a Garden” food boxes to home-bound families in Denver—via bike! Supporting our community on two wheels makes for a great way to spend a sunny day. Many thanks to our friends @ddchen47, David M., and @juggernautcargo for your help! Head to denverfoodrescue.org or dug.org to learn more about these great local organizations. #rideyourbike
  • Tonight the #BicycleColorado team celebrated Stacey, our outgoing Development Director, with a virtual happy hour. Stacey has been an absolute rockstar for BC. We’re sad to see her leave, but thrilled for her as she heads out on a new adventure (hopefully in the #BikeAdvocacy space!) in North Carolina. Please join us in wishing her well!
