BC’S DROP-BAR BIKE SAFETY AND ROAD RACING CLINIC FOR Beginner Adults FEATURING RON KIEFEL
What: Join former national champion, Olympic medalist and Giro d’Italia stage winner Ron Kiefel for a super fun clinic and race experience to improve your safety, skills and confidence! This is a great way to improve your skills and get better at riding with other cyclists. Head Coach Jon Heidemann has been instructing athletes of all ages for 30+ years and is passionate about building skills, increasing safety and helping athletes grow in their riding confidence.
Date: June 2 and June 5, 2024
Where: Colorado State Patrol Track in Golden, Colorado – 1601 Quaker St, Golden, CO 80401. This is a closed course with no automobile traffic during our events.
Register now – Space is limited to 25 riders!
Price: $50
Includes: $50 includes clinic session and entry fee for the June 5 race, one year membership to Bicycle Colorado, swag, cheering, support and fun! Must be 18+ years old. You will need your own bike. Road, cross and gravel bikes are welcome. No mountain bikes, please. Helmets are required.
Who: Adults who want to build the skills and confidence to ride in a group and experience road cycling and racing in a safe, fun and supportive environment. We will work on the concepts of safe riding, cornering and handling drills, safe group riding, race tactics and on-the-bike mentoring with great coaches and ex-professional riders.
Schedule:
Sunday, June 2, 2024 – Clinic Session at CSP Track
3 pm – Greeting and verbal coaching
4 pm – Cornering practice and bumping drills
5 pm – Mentored laps to practice the skills of safe riding
Wednesday, June 5, 2024 – Race at CSP Track
5 pm – Mentored laps to practice the skills of safe riding and warm up
6 pm – Jump into the Peak to Peak Table Mountain Race to apply all that you’ve learned!
