American Flyers Zwift Race:

Inspired by American Flyers
Can you outrun Eddie?
Join us for an adrenaline-pumping 3.9-mile sprint through Zwift’s Fan Flats, inspired by the legendary dog chase scene from the classic cycling film American Flyers. Just like David and Marcus Sommers had to sprint away from that ferocious four-legged “Eddie” (named after the great Eddy “The Cannibal” Merckx), you’ll need to dig deep and find another gear when it matters most.

Zwift Race Details:

When: July & August Dates
Course: Fan Flats – 3.9 miles of pure intensity
Format: High-octane pursuit racing
Challenge: Can you maintain the pace when Eddie’s on your wheel?
This isn’t just another Zwift race – it’s a tribute to one of cycling cinema’s most memorable training scenes. Whether you’re channeling your inner Marcus Sommers or just trying to avoid getting “bitten” by the pack, bring your best sprint legs and your sense of humor.
Warning: No actual dogs will be chasing you… but your legs might feel like there are!
