Track racing (which is held on a velodrome) is one of the oldest, most exciting and prestigious forms of competitive cycling and a staple of the summer Olympic Games.  Track racing has a huge variety of events to fit the characteristics of every rider – from sprinting races to time trials, there is an event for you.

Colorado is home to two incredible velodromes!

Both of these velodromes offer a full schedule of open track time, training sessions, informal events and sanctioned racing. Our comprehensive calendar lists many of these events, but for a full picture of all that these velodromes offer, please see their websites for the most current information.

In 2025, Bicycle Colorado is very proud to re-launch the Colorado Track Cup.  The Track Cup is a series of events, held at both velodromes, that showcase these amazing venues and provide a season-long points competition for our athletes.  More details on the Track Cup will be available soon.

The track cycling community is very supportive – velodromes are able to operate thanks to countless volunteer hours for maintenance, cleaning and event support. Thank you to everyone who works to support track cycling in Colorado!
