Tour de Vineyards

September 21, 2024

Tour de Vineyards showcases the splendor of the Grand Valley and the beauty of the Western Slope! Chock-full of wineries, vineyards, orchards and mesas, the 30th annual tour has a little something for everyone. Choose between a leisurely 23-mile route along the Palisade Fruit & Wine Byway or the more challenging 58-mile course that adds on a loop up and over Reeder Mesa. After a good ride, enjoy a hearty meal at the finish-line in downtown Palisade and then head over to the Colorado Mountain Winefest at Riverbend Park. A portion of event proceeds go to support Colorado West Land Trust and Colorado Association of Viticulture & Enology. See the event schedule here

Mission: Nonprofit Partners & Beneficiaries

Colorado West Land Trust: With over 131,000 acres conserved in 6 counties (Delta, Gunnison, Mesa, Montrose, Ouray and San Miguel), the Colorado West Land Trust works to protect and enhance agricultural land, wildlife habitat and scenic lands in western Colorado to benefit the community at large, enrich lives, provide opportunities for outdoor recreation, and ensure our connection to land for generations to come.

CAVE – Colorado Association for Viticulture & Enology: The Colorado Association for Viticulture and Enology (CAVE) is a member-based, trade non-profit that exists to encourage and support enology and viticulture in Colorado. CAVE promotes the interests of Colorado grape growers and wineries in legislative and political matters, provides a forum for the exchange of ideas, and disseminates current information pertaining to optimum winemaking and agriculture practices for vineyards in the area. CAVE seeks to establish contacts and relationships with other associations, both regional and statewide, to further development and growth of the industry.

We’re thrilled to see so many people out enjoying (and often rediscovering the joy of) riding a bike right now, and we’re asking ALL bicyclists to do their part to prevent the spread of #covid19 by wearing a mask or other face covering when out for a ride. Doing so keeps you, your loved ones, those around you, and all Coloradans safer while helping reduce stress on our medical system. If you still need a mask, click the link in our bio to pre-order one now and support our advocacy work! Thanks so much to everyone who has already purchased, and to @primalwear for supporting our efforts over the years. Ride on.
  • #BicycleColorado volunteers and staff members spent time today helping @denverurbangardens and @denverfoodrescue deliver “Grow a Garden” food boxes to home-bound families in Denver—via bike! Supporting our community on two wheels makes for a great way to spend a sunny day. Many thanks to our friends @ddchen47, David M., and @juggernautcargo for your help! Head to denverfoodrescue.org or dug.org to learn more about these great local organizations. #rideyourbike
  • Tonight the #BicycleColorado team celebrated Stacey, our outgoing Development Director, with a virtual happy hour. Stacey has been an absolute rockstar for BC. We’re sad to see her leave, but thrilled for her as she heads out on a new adventure (hopefully in the #BikeAdvocacy space!) in North Carolina. Please join us in wishing her well!
