The Broadmoor Pikes Peak Cycling Hill Climb
Register today for The Broadmoor Pikes Peak Cycling Hill Climb! The Broadmoor Pikes Peak Cycling Hill Climb has both a USA Cycling sanctioned race and a non-competitive fun ride that give bicyclists a truly unique experience on Pikes Peak.
Save the date and register today for the event on Saturday, August 8, 2020. Created in 2010, this year marks the 11th consecutive year of The Broadmoor Pikes Peak Cycling Hill Climb, an event of the Colorado Springs Sports Corporation. Come ride with the top competitive and recreational cyclists from across the nation and around the world.
Both the competitive race and the non-competitive Gran Fondo fun ride are 12.42 miles (20 kilometers) and have a 4,725 ft elevation gain up America’s Mountain– Pikes Peak!
At an elevation of 14,115′, Pikes Peak – America’s Mountain, is one of Colorado’s 54 fourteeners, mountains that rise more than 14,000 feet (4,267.2 m) above sea level, and the highest summit of the southern Front Range of the Rocky Mountains of North America. It is located within the Pike National Forest. The mountain is named in honor of American explorer Zebulon Pike and is a designated National Historic Landmark.
The Gran Fondo Fun Ride
Non-Competitive Fun Rides: Includes road bikes, mountain bikes, tandems, elipticals, recumbents and handcycles. Cyclists will be included in a mass start, no matter what type of cycle they are using. Start groups will be mixed men’s, women’s and juniors but may be split the morning of the event if the group is too large.

There will be packet pickup registration available August 6-7, but there is no race day registration.
The Schedule for Saturday, August 8
Saturday, August 8 – Pikes Peak Highway will be closed at Crystal Reservoir until 9:00 AM.
4:45 AM: Gateway (tollgate) opens to cyclists
6:13 AM: Gran Fondo start
6:30 AM: Competitive race start (waves will be split as needed based on registrations)
9:00 AM: Highway opens at Crystal Reservoir
9:30 AM: Awards Ceremony begins at Festival/Awards Area
9:45 AM: Timing ends
