The Broadmoor Cycle to the Summit is a breathtaking bicycle race up Pikes Peak – America’s Mountain. Literally. Sanctioned by USA Cycling, this competitive style hill climb on August 13 consists of multiple medal categories giving cyclists of all skill levels the opportunity to take on Pikes Peak. Created in 2010, this year marks the 13th consecutive year of The Broadmoor Cycle to the Summit, an annual event of the Colorado Springs Sports Corporation.

The Route
Cyclists will ride in a fully supported event that is 12.42 miles/20km long with a 4,725 ft elevation gain!
At an elevation of 14,115′, Pikes Peak – America’s Mountain, is one of Colorado’s 54 fourteeners, mountains that rise more than 14,000 feet (4,267.2 m) above sea level, and the highest summit of the southern Front Range of the Rocky Mountains of North America. It is located within the Pike National Forest. The mountain is named in honor of American explorer Zebulon Pike and is a designated National Historic Landmark.
Summit Society
Cycle your way to the Summit Society! Named in honor of Pikes Peak- America’s Mountain which summit sits at 14,115 ft., Summit Society is an exclusive club for summiteers united by the challenge and adventure of cycling up Pikes Peak.
Riders that complete Cycle to the Summit in the specified race time frame (before 9:45 AM) will become a member of the Summit Society and will receive a medal, Cycle to the Summit collectible, and exclusive discounts!

The Schedule for Saturday, August 13
Saturday, August 13 – Pikes Peak Highway will be closed at Crystal Reservoir until 9:00 AM.
4:45 AM: Gateway (tollgate) opens to cyclists
6:13 AM: first wave of cyclists starts
6:30 AM: Competitive race start (waves will be split as needed based on registrations)
9:00 AM: Highway opens at Crystal Reservoir
9:30 AM: Awards Ceremony begins at Festival/Awards Area
9:45 AM: Timing ends
