Ride 2 End ALZ Spring Virtual Challenge
Register today for the #Ride2EndALZ Spring Virtual Challenge on April 3, 2022!
The #Ride2EndALZ is a flexible, fun, and inclusive environment for riders of all skill levels on all types of bikes. You can ride any type of bike, on any day, and for as many miles as your heart desires.
No starting line. No looking for parking. No recording and reporting mileage. You don’t even have to leave home if you don’t want to!
The #Ride2EndALZ Spring Challenge is virtual in nature, but that doesn’t mean it’s “virtual” as we’ve all come to know that word. Many riders will head outside to their favorite trails and paths while others will hop on their exercise bikes just down the hall. Do you like to get on the stationary bike at a gym or studio? Great! You can join us, too!
The Spring Challenge doesn’t have a registration fee or fundraising minimum. For those riders that do decide to fundraise, there are some awesome perks when you hit certain milestones.
Come join riders from all 50 states and many nations around the world, all experiencing the #Ride2EndALZ Spring Challenge in a unique way. With 100% of funds raised going directly to Alzheimer’s research, you can rest assured that your support is getting to where it needs to go.
Your Event Day Experience:
Exclusive Opening Ceremony
At 8am Central on ride day, be sure to check out the Alzheimer’s Association main Facebook page as we will go live with a 30-minute opening ceremony. The program will include inspirational rider stories, shout-outs to our top teams and individual fundraisers and the national anthem.
After the Opening Ceremony
If you are riding outside, you can go ahead and take off! Ride wherever you want to, for as many miles as you want. All we ask if that you take pics and show us how much fun you’re having! Before, during, and after ride pictures can be posted to any social media platform using #Ride2EndALZ. You can also email them to ride@alz.org.
If you are riding a traditional bike, but want to ride indoors on your smart trainer – no problem! We’ll have a live, professionally announced Zwift ride for you starting at 8:30am Central. You’ll be able to pedal along with riders from all over the world on a virtual course. Keep an eye here for details as ride day nears.
If you are riding your indoor cycling/stationary exercise bike, join us for a very special #Ride2EndALZ themed class, led by a professional instructor! The class will air here on this page and on the Alzheimer’s Association Facebook page. The instructor will lead you through a fun, fast-paced workout complete with shout-outs to our top teams and fundraisers.
To ride the class, put your bike in manual mode (‘Just Ride’ setting for Peloton, ‘Manual Ride’ setting for NordicTrac) and follow along with the instructor.
You can also join a ride offered on the interface of your particular brand of indoor cycling….you just won’t get that custom #Ride2EndALZ experience.
