Colorado State MTB Championship

July 22 – July 23

Rattler Racing is excited to be hosting the Colorado MTB Championship for 2023. They have moved the Championships to the most fitting of places, beautiful Copper Mountain, right in the heart of the Rockies. Saturday starts with Colorado’s first Short Track MTB State Championship. The course will be super exciting with great spectating right in the Copper Mountain Village. On Sunday, the action-packed XCO course is perfect for an event like this. The course will deliver everything you would expect in Summit County.   Course details are still in the works, but expect a 5-7 mile loop packed with solid climbing, twisty turns, short technical sections, and fun descents. If you like to mountain bike race, you probably need to do this one.

Racers will do multiple laps depending on their discipline. The course is set in a beautiful setting and a perfect backdrop for spectating and just enjoying the cool weather in the middle of summer. The Colorado State MTB Championship will be a USAC-sanctioned event. All racers are required to have a USAC license to race.

Welcome to Rattler Racing. It all started in 2015. Seeing a serious need for some mid-week mountain bike racing, they set out on creating a summer series. Little did they know how well it would be received. Since then, they’ve added more XC, some gravel, cross and maybe the occasional stage race and who knows what else. Their mission is to create fun, challenging and memorable events that they would want to do ourselves. While it may sound same ol’, customer service is their passion. If you haven’t been to one of their events, come on out. You won’t be disappointed. Send them your comments, ideas, and concerns. They value feedback and want to make our events better every time. See you on the trails!

We’re thrilled to see so many people out enjoying (and often rediscovering the joy of) riding a bike right now, and we’re asking ALL bicyclists to do their part to prevent the spread of #covid19 by wearing a mask or other face covering when out for a ride. Doing so keeps you, your loved ones, those around you, and all Coloradans safer while helping reduce stress on our medical system. If you still need a mask, click the link in our bio to pre-order one now and support our advocacy work! Thanks so much to everyone who has already purchased, and to @primalwear for supporting our efforts over the years. Ride on.
  • #BicycleColorado volunteers and staff members spent time today helping @denverurbangardens and @denverfoodrescue deliver “Grow a Garden” food boxes to home-bound families in Denver—via bike! Supporting our community on two wheels makes for a great way to spend a sunny day. Many thanks to our friends @ddchen47, David M., and @juggernautcargo for your help! Head to denverfoodrescue.org or dug.org to learn more about these great local organizations. #rideyourbike
  • Tonight the #BicycleColorado team celebrated Stacey, our outgoing Development Director, with a virtual happy hour. Stacey has been an absolute rockstar for BC. We’re sad to see her leave, but thrilled for her as she heads out on a new adventure (hopefully in the #BikeAdvocacy space!) in North Carolina. Please join us in wishing her well!
