Colorado Park 2 Park Challenge

The Colorado Park 2 Park Challenge is a single-day Gran Fondo from Denver’s City Park to Winter Park Resort, climbing three of Colorado’s toughest mountains. Former pro cyclist Amy Charity has set the course pace and riders will be awarded a Gold, Silver or Bronze custom wood trophy based on your finishing time compared to our pacesetters time.
The Route
One of Colorado’s newest and most challenging events. The Colorado Park 2 Park Challenge is a single-day Gran Fondo from Denver’s City Park to Winter Park Resort, climbing three of Colorado’s toughest mountains with over 11,000 vertical feet of climbing. A group rolling start begins the day as you head towards Golden riding through downtown Denver and then tackling Lookout Mountain, Squaw Pass and Berthoud Pass. Fully supported and personalized with a limited field of riders. The event wraps up in Winter Park Resort with an achievement celebration.
2021 Pre-Rides
Learn the course, test your fitness and get to know some of the riders before the event. Dates subject to change based on how life is thrown at us.
Sunday, May 23rd – Denver’s City Park to the top of Lookout Mountain and back (about 45 miles roundtrip)
Saturday, May 29th – Base of Lookout Mountain to Boettcher Mansion to Buffalo Herd Overlook, making a U turn and heading down US 40 crossing I-25 for a fun loop and then back to US 40 to Mother Cabrini Shrine for a quick up and down and then back up US 40 to Paradise Rd and back to Lookout Mountain Road for a fun downhill back to the base of Lookout Mountain. (about 35 miles roundtrip)
Saturday, June 19th – Bergen Park, Echo Lake, Idaho Springs, Floyd Hill Loop (about 45 miles roundtrip)
Sunday, July 11th – Idaho Springs to the top of Berthoud Pass and back (about 45 miles roundtrip)

In addition to being a dedicated member of Bicycle Colorado, the P2P is now additionally benefiting Mile High United Way. You have taken the challenge to ride from City Park to Winter Park, now take the challenge to raise money for Mile High United Way or your favorite charity. You are not required to raise funds to participate in this ride, but we encourage it.
