Ride Details

We can’t wait to bring the CF community together in new ways this summer for CF Cycle for Life! While we will not be hosting our traditional in-person Rocky Mountain Cycle for Life in 2021, we do have two amazing opportunities for you to support the CF Foundation and connect with the CF community!

Virtual Tour De West
 August 1-August 14, 2021

Join other CF Cycle for Life riders from CFF Chapters in the west on a virtual tour of the best region! We will stop virtually at different cities along the route to meet CFL teams and CF fighters. Major stops will include: Albuquerque, Denver, Salt Lake City, Las Vegas, San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, and more. We’ll progress as a group along the route based upon our combined miles tracked in the Strava group.

On Saturday, August 14th we encourage everyone to get on your bike and Cycle for Life on your own or with your team!

Denver Century Ride
September 25, 2021

For cyclists who raise over $650 on their Colorado CF Cycle for Life fundraising page by August 14, you will have the option to participate with the Rocky Mountain Cystic Fibrosis Foundation team at the Denver Century Ride this fall!
Your registration cost will be covered by us, and you can choose your distance: 25, 50, 85 or 100 miles.

Whether you choose to participate in one or both opportunities, you will register, fundraise, and update your Colorado Cycle for Life page like a normal year.

1.     Register. Register as a “Virtual Cyclist” if you plan to participate in the Tour de West or ride on your own. Register as a “Cyclist” if your goal is to raise $650 for an entry into the Denver Century Ride.

2.     Recruit. Recruit others to join your team! Friends, family, and co-workers can join you virtually from anywhere in the world to participate in the Tour de West.

3.     Fundraise. Fundraise online by leveraging the tools in the Participant Center, the Fight CF mobile app, and Fundraise on Facebook to reach your goal. Create a virtual passion fundraising event through your favorite hobby, activity, or passion.

Suggested Fundraising Minimum for the Virtual Tour de West: $65
Suggested Fundraising Minimum for the Denver Century Ride: $650

4.     Cycle. Once you register, join our Strava Club so your training miles can count in the Tour de West Virtual Challenges! Get together with your team on August 14th to ride together and/or join us at the Denver Century Ride on September 25th.

Cystic fibrosis cycle for life ride

Why We Ride

CF Cycle for Life is the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s premiere cycling event. Each year, thousands of cyclists gather in dozens of cities across the nation to take part in an exciting effort to raise funds and awareness for cystic fibrosis.

In 2017, CF Cycle for Life raised nearly $3.5 million to help bring us closer to a cure, while adding tomorrows, for those struggling with cystic fibrosis, a life-threatening genetic disease.  While tremendous progress has been made toward finding a cure, the lives of people with CF are still cut far too short. The public’s continued support will help us fulfill our mission and reach our ultimate goal: a cure for all people with this disease.

Cystic Fibrosis Cycle for Life provides a great opportunity for companies and groups of friends and family members to come together and ride in support of a worthy cause. If you are a biking enthusiast, take your ride to the next level by signing up for CF Cycle for Life and help add tomorrows to the lives of those with cystic fibrosis today.

Bicycle Colorado

Our friends at @AlchemyBicycles are hiring a Lead Service Technician! Check out their posting:

The Town of Superior will be closing McCaslin Blvd., between Coalton Road and State Highway 128, from September 20…

  • DON’T DELAY: We’re placing another order for #BicycleColorado masks made by our friends at @primalwear TOMORROW (5/14) at noon! Click the link in our bio to get yours now!
We’re thrilled to see so many people out enjoying (and often rediscovering the joy of) riding a bike right now, and we’re asking ALL bicyclists to do their part to prevent the spread of #covid19 by wearing a mask or other face covering when out for a ride. Doing so keeps you, your loved ones, those around you, and all Coloradans safer while helping reduce stress on our medical system. If you still need a mask, click the link in our bio to pre-order one now and support our advocacy work! Thanks so much to everyone who has already purchased, and to @primalwear for supporting our efforts over the years. Ride on.
  • #BicycleColorado volunteers and staff members spent time today helping @denverurbangardens and @denverfoodrescue deliver “Grow a Garden” food boxes to home-bound families in Denver—via bike! Supporting our community on two wheels makes for a great way to spend a sunny day. Many thanks to our friends @ddchen47, David M., and @juggernautcargo for your help! Head to or to learn more about these great local organizations. #rideyourbike
  • Tonight the #BicycleColorado team celebrated Stacey, our outgoing Development Director, with a virtual happy hour. Stacey has been an absolute rockstar for BC. We’re sad to see her leave, but thrilled for her as she heads out on a new adventure (hopefully in the #BikeAdvocacy space!) in North Carolina. Please join us in wishing her well!
