In 2019, the Denver Century Ride offers 100-, 85-, 50- and 25-mile routes. The founders of the Coldwell Banker Denver Century Ride believe bicycling is not just a sport but a way of life, which is why they design routes that explore the many diverse neighborhood streets of the metro area and support bicycle advocacy groups like Bicycle Colorado to make cycling every day a bit easier.

Each of these looped courses utilizes bike lanes and open roads to connect the various regions of the Denver Metro Area. Click on the map below to see the four routes, and learn more about each:

100-Mile Route Details

The 100-mile route offers a variety of terrain including the signature hill-climb up Lookout Mountain. Cyclists on this course delight in how simple it is to connect the city center to the foothills and breathtaking views from the pinnacle stop overlooking the vast plains to the east and stunning snowy peaks to the west. This course highlights some of Denver’s bicycle commuter routes and casual riding areas and shows how easy it is to connect city, mountains and plains riding in a day’s ride!

85-Mile Route Details

Like the 100-mile route, the 85-mile route is designed to help cyclists discover how easy it is to get out to the mountains by bike with the Downtown Denver skyline in full view, relishing in the proximity of city and country along the way. It highlights some of Denver’s bicycle commuter routes and casual riding areas, but this route eliminates the challenging mountain goat climb up Lookout Mountain.

50-Mile Route Details

This city-centric 50-mile ride starts and stops at Northfield Stapleton, weaves through old-elegant Denver along tree-lined streets and drops into downtown by way of Coors Field, Union Station and Confluence Park. Cyclists head as far west as Sloan’s Lake before turning south, rolling past Ruby Hill Park down to Cherry Hills Village to just north of Belleview St.

Bible Park, Cook Park and Crestmoor Park are among some highlights of the cruise back north to Post Ride Street Party.

25-Mile Route Details

Grab your road bikes and cruisers too because the 25-mile route is made for all cyclists! It showcases the city’s historic neighborhoods and natural gems as you travel through a number of city parks on connected bicycle commuter streets and paths.

Beyond a great day in the saddle, you can feel even better about discovering Denver by bike during this event: $10 of every registration to the Coldwell Banker Denver Century Ride benefits bicycle advocacy in Colorado. This year’s proceeds go toward Bicycle Colorado and Denver B-cycle, each of which works to enhance cycling in Colorado.

Making your cycling experience fun, convenient and safe is paramount to the Denver Century Ride. The well-placed aid stations feature a variety of fresh fruit, salty snacks, sweet treats and endurance nutrition products, not to mention ice-cold drinks. The long-distance routes offer a full fresh lunch to keep cyclists strong, healthy and recharged.

All routes end at the Shops at Northfield Stapleton, where cyclists are rewarded with an ice-cold beer after crossing the finish line. Northfield is home to our renowned post ride street party featuring food, entertainment and a cycling & lifestyle expo. With multiple Northfield restaurants from which to choose, cyclists enjoy a hot satisfying meal of their choice along with a frosty beverage in our shaded seating area.
