Come Ride the Rockies this June!

From fascinating canyons to unparalleled views, Ride the Rockies is an unforgettable, week-long riding event that takes you through some of Colorado’s most gorgeous scenery. Taking place June 11–16, 2023, Ride the Rockies is a unique bike experience. Join nearly 2,000 other cyclists on the adventure of the summer. Want to know more about this exciting event? Here’s a preview of what you can expect to ride and see:

Day 1: The climb up Big Thompson Canyon is a favorite of many. The route diverts onto Devils Gulch Road at mile 31 and brings you to Overlook Ranch. This is where Ride the Rockies really begins. The view here of Rocky Mountain National Park is truly spectacular.

Day 2: Join the ride for a surprise in Allenspark—a community fundraising pancake breakfast served by Chef Biju Thomas!

Day 3: Embark on a journey down Trail Ridge Road through Rocky Mountain National Park. The day will begin early because permits require all riders to enter the park by 7:00 a.m. It may be an early start, but it’s going to be an unbelievable day.

Day 4: Tired legs? No problem! This is the day for a leisurely ride to Winter Park. Smile pretty for all the photographers on the route—you may even see yourself on the Jumbotron at the Rendezvous Center!

Day 5: This is Colorado’s version of Alpe d’Huez. You’ll ride Berthoud Pass along with its many switchbacks. The reward for this climb is another fundraising pancake breakfast that will benefit Rocky Mountain Village Easter Seals Camp.

Day 6: What can be better than the Peak-to-Peak Highway? On this day, you’ll enjoy a fabulous climb and  an amazing descent into Lyons. Finishing at Canvas Stadium at Colorado State University will make all the miles worthwhile!

This year’s host communities are rolling out the red carpet and making Ride the Rockies a very special event. Each day in every town, Ride the Rockies will be packed with activities and entertainment.  There will be special screenings of bicycle-themed movies, amazing local music, scavenger hunts and more.  Sign up for whiskey tastings at the Stanley, the Alternative Health Fair in Grand Lake (including sound healing), professional massages, or dinner and a movie at the Historic Park Theatre in Estes Park. There will be so much to enjoy all week long at Ride the Rockies, so make sure to register by June 1. We will see you there!
