CDOT staff recognized for work on USA Pro Challenge
Colorado Department of Transportation Director Don Hunt lauded CDOT staff for their behind-the-scenes work on the USA Pro Challenge.
The race required collaboration with the Colorado State Patrol to review and establish the route, plan for traffic control, detours and electronic sign messaging, right of way use policies, coordination with road construction and maintenance projects, media and public information projects and security.
Hunt thanked the dozens of CDOT maintenance staff who helped race-day operations run smoothly. He also specifically honored seven staffers: Betsy Jacobsen, CDOT bicycle and pedestrian coordinator, Mike Goolsby, Grand Junction maintenance superintendent, Clark Roberts, traffic engineer, Scott Hoftiezer, engineer, Ashley Mohr and Bob Wilson, communications, and Chris Meyer, safety and traffic engineering.
