Cylcocross championships put Colorado in biking spotlight

The USA Cycling Cyclocross National Championship kicks off today, Jan. 8, at Valmont Park in Boulder. The event runs through Sun., Jan. 12. We’re excited to see ‘cross stars from across the country in our state for this event. It shines the spotlight on Colorado as one of the best places for cycling in the country.

What’s more, the championships are shaping up as a great community event, with dozens of races for kids, college students and adults to 70+ taking place. Families will not only be watching the races, they’ll be participating.

And with thousands of racers and spectators expected to sleep, eat and shop in the area, the event is just another example of bicycling’s positive effects on the Colorado economy.

Several Bicycle Colorado staff will be at the event cheering everyone on. We hope to see you there!
